These photos were taking during Dan's trip to Taipei for the International Barcode Meeting in September 2007.
Although Taipei is heavily populated there are many parks and ponds throughout the city.  
The trees are much different than in Canada.  
Kids in the park play on a DNA junglegym.  
This is the entrance to the National Museum of Natural History that had something for everyone...  
...including a collection of Phaeophyceae and...  
...a giant squid!!!
